A recent study tracked the heart health of male workers between the ages of 19 and 70 for nearly a decade. Each of these workers was asked to answer several questions about their managers, concerning their leadership style and how effectively they communicated and gave feedback. The results showed that there is correlation between having a bad boss and their employees' risk of developing heart disease. In fact, it had a greater effect than obesity or high cholesterol. This suggests that companies should pay attention to retraining bosses for worker health, as a more supportive and understanding boss would reduce the chance of workers' being stricken with any heart-related illnesses.
